Inbox Setup
Connect your support inbox to MailBridge in under 2 minutes using email forwarding. No DNS changes, no MX records — just a forwarding rule.
How forwarding works
MailBridge gives every organisation a unique inbound address like abc123@in.mailbridge.ai. You set up a forwarding rule in your existing email provider so that every email sent to your support address (e.g. support@yourcompany.com) is automatically forwarded to that address.
Your original inbox stays exactly as it is. MailBridge receives a copy of each email, triages it, and routes it — without interfering with your normal mail flow.
Gmail
If you only want to forward emails from certain senders or with certain subjects, use Gmail filters to forward selectively instead of all mail.
Outlook / Microsoft 365
Other providers
Any email provider that supports SMTP forwarding works with MailBridge. The general steps are:
Need help with a specific provider? Email our support team and we'll walk you through it.
Verify your inbox is connected
After setting up forwarding, send a test email to your support address. Within a few seconds it should appear in your MailBridge dashboard under Requests, and be posted to your connected Slack or Discord channel.
If the test email doesn't appear within 60 seconds, double-check that your forwarding rule is enabled and the destination address is exactly correct (no extra spaces).
Multiple inboxes
Need to forward from multiple addresses (e.g. support@ and hello@)? You can forward both to the same MailBridge inbound address — all emails will be triaged and routed the same way. Differentiation by sender address is on the roadmap.
